Your colors are off by a little, though.[/size]
wich colors?
I copy paste colors from bitmaps of reaktor5...i couldnt be more precise...
i think i add just one color that was not in reaktor...
Two specifically:

Image

The defualt body color is visibly off; it should be a little darker, and the header tab should be alot darker. I use Reaktor every single day; I could immediately see the body color was too light. Maybe you grabbed from a degarded jpeg or something.

Still looks sharp either way, I'm just pointing it out is all.

hmm...
I tried to verify that but i saw no difference...
I copy paste a 24 bit bitmap from reaktor5 and put it in photoshop then compared it with my skin on XT...there was no difference on all the color i tested...
Maybe the grey grid i chose to put in xt does some contrast with the light beige so it gives the impression its brighter...
the colors in the skin dont cover the same space as in reaktor so the result is not the same...well maybe...i'm not sure about that..

It is possible your photoshop color settings are affecting things. Disable color profile for temporary working on the skin perhaps? This has happened to me before too..

it's all about the context, man :)

From that jpg-

Reaktor: 193,187,165 (47,15,76)
eXT: 214,208,184 (48,14,84)

probably Photoshop colour management like Grymmjack suggested.

I like the skin, once again very easy going and clear. :tu:

indeed, that's trippy. I almost didn't believe it. If I didn't sample the colors with a picker on my own to show them both as #6B6B6B I still wouldn't believe it.

This is becoming a mystery... :?
are we using the same reaktor?
with this gap between the 2 colors i would for sure see the difference by just putting reaktor and xt side by side and i see absolutely no difference...i dont think its photoshop...this is weird...
i get (214,208,184) everywhere...

Being on the subject i have a question...
On my monitor i have some options...
Color temperature:(9300 K) or (6500K)
User Color:(Red:0-100 currently at 48.) and (blue:0-100 currently at 43.)
Contrast:100
Brightness:90

What are the "normal" or usual settings...this does a lot of changes in the colors...if i make a skin on that and then share it, the skin would surely look very different on another monitor...
Maybe all my skins are very ugly on other's people monitor? :scared:

6500 kelvins (D56) is supposed to be the neutral color temperature, and is the most commonly used for screen applications. It's also the the designated whitepoint for sRGB.

Contrast 100 could mean that your using the maximum contrast available on the monitor? That might make a difference, but hard to tell as different monitors vary a lot in contrast ratios.

I wouldn't worry about the monitors settings, your skins transfer extremely well IMHO, with balanced and well selected colours.

Monitor calibration would of course be desirable, but requires spending couple of hundreds. One basic measure would be to go through Adobe Gamma, made a huge difference on my screen. The factory settings were totally f**ked, and my first skins were ruined because of that.

word. Adobe gamma helps and the calibration is simple wizard driven. If you want to be sure you are picking colors 100% accurate/true to the pick in photoshop, you have to disable color management entirely though. The pipette is grabbing the translated color when photoshop is picking from a color managed document -- which is the default if you create a new document and haven't messed with the settings from the factory. I'd say to be sure try picking with an external color picker like pixie or dotcolor or one of those, external to PS. Then paste the value into PS color picker in a non-color managed document. Photoshop should then work as you would expect it to with these colors.
