Problem with ManyGuitar - (Solved - via soundcard drivers)

I just purchased ManyGuitar and although it sounds great, I'm having a problem with about half the presets. When selected, these presets cause the plugin to max out the meters and click and pop. I noticed that if I turn off the delay, the noise goes away. Anyone else having this problem? I'm using version 1.0, is this the latest? My system (Cubase SX 2, audiophile 2496, Windows XP) has been extremely stable and problem free in the past.

Just purchased too. It worked for me for awhile - but now behaves as you describe with all presets and in any project I try to insert it.

Weird one guys
The version you have has been released and extremely stable for over 7 months.
So i would have to say ....what????
Seriously there are are hundreds of users of this version with no Bug reports other than a name issue in some hosts which will be fixed in next update. The version you have has been installed and tested by plenty of users for months also in Cubase. So i would have to think it is something else causing this for you guys as this would have been reported long ago. But lets try and figure it out.
Start a new project with only ManyGuitar and check your system then to start. Did you update anything else?

Here's some more info Paul: any preset that uses the "Echo" effect set to "warm" or "light" ("crush" works fine) pegs the cpu meter to 100% and brings Cubase to a grinding halt. Changing any of the other echo parameters makes no difference. It seems like some kind of infinite loop problem. I wonder if a uninstall/reinstall would help?

I already tried some different asio settings. Latency set at 512 or 256 had the same problem. I can usually do 80+ tracks with 40+ eqs/effects with latency set at 512, so I doubt the cpu is being pushed to hard. Here's my system: Asus P4P800 motherboard, 2.8 Ghz P4 intel processor, 1 GByte Corsair XMS memory.

Hi
I am going to pass this thread on to Aldo to have a look at. Please hang in there for a reply.
Can any other cubase users repeat this? Remember though too that manyguitars feedback control on the delay will give extremely long delay repeats, that can go forever... so watch out for that.
Anywys, Perhaps Aldo will have some insight.

Paul, I figured it out. The problem was caused by not having the latest M-Audio driver. I thought for sure I was up to date on drivers, but I somehow missed this one. Pass on this info to anyone else having this problem.

Hi from the developer of MG, and thank you for reporting the problem and the solution.
I spent almost two days debugging the code -- and guessing the cause of the problem -- and I was not able to find any bug in it (which is a good thing, isn't it?
)
Best Regards,
Aldo.
