I'm thinking this will be a must-have for guitarists.

So I guess what you are saying is? Its up to you now Joegrymmjack wrote:The skin is done, and I've alerted joe to pick it up and start implementation
Will be the coolest plugin to ever come from the Motor City (Detroit, MI USA) That is one thing for sure
For that matter IMHO one of the nicest pieces of guitar gear to come from here, Price is a bit steep though

Yah, because people have PM'd me asking "when is it going to be done" ... This stops that from happening to me and can instead happen to youFrettedSynth wrote:So I guess what you are saying is? I was just jamming out with jamstix and freeamp1.5 and was thinking, no offense, how confusing the EQ is right now. I think once this new UI is in place it's going to really boost productivity using Free amp, atleast where the EQ is concerned. One thing that was confusing to me about the old interface was the iconic/label-less 2way and 3way switches -- the little tiny ones that just have a small icon .. Again not giving you a hard time, just so grateful we collaborated on this because it's going to really make a hella difference
I gotta go work a 2nd job today until 11pm then again tommorow from 7am til god knows when, and sunday is chore day. I hope that your weekend is open for working on FreeAMP more than mine is to play, Joe. Sucks, I want to stay at home and play with jamstix and freeamp -- I had a zeppelin-esque 3 piece happening
so, see you guys Sunday or Monday...

I cannot see how that can be beat!! Do I even need any hardware other than my guitar and audio interface anymore? I really am starting to think not! I will need one of those Behringer midi pedal boards now, though. Man, a guitar synth that actually works, WITH great tube amp sims and just about every stomp effect I've ever used all in a single free VST...the near future looks bright indeed

And like I had spoke to you before! It don't matter where on the fretboard you are, The tracking works the same, no more bad tracking on the lower parts of the neck

Also, the idea you have been kicking around about a guitar triggered sampler sounds great, too. Maybe sometime off in the future when all your other projects are complete you could make a master guitar synth that does it all! A guitar controlled Hammond B-3 has always been another dream of mine. I need to start experimenting more with programming my own patches for all of your synths, they are probably already capable of creating most of the sounds I would ever need or want!
Anyway - great stuff! Can't wait!! Thanks!!!

All I think it really needs besides lower CPU usage is a very nice clean tone. I really like the "Red" Clean Tone from the Line6 Spider II combo amps. I could play that one all day...

lateralus778 - the tone is in your hands - its easy to make this baby clean and compy, or gritty and heavy, or anything in between - try tweaking one or more of the amp settings, compressor settings, cab options, etc etc - theres more than enough clean tones to go around

I am posting this on behalf of frettedsynth:
SpeedTest.mp3I would like to know what you think of this 3nd demo of the synth to be included in the upcoming FreeAmpSE ?
The synth gate has been improved AGAIN!!
Result: EVEN FASTER ACCURATE TRACKING...
It uses the same setup amp/delay as the previous 2 demos only more driveNoise is a good thing through a synth, funny how life is

It sounds great, and it also sounds like it's tracking far better than even the Electro-Harmonix Micro Synth!!!asseca wrote:I am posting this on behalf of frettedsynth:SpeedTest.mp3I would like to know what you think of this 3nd demo of the synth to be included in the upcoming FreeAmpSE ?
