Hello,
I own Sampletank XL 2.1, Amplitube 1, and Sonik Synth 2. Because of a switch over to Mac and a hard drive crash, I've used up all three of my authorizations for these products.
I'm satisified with these programs, so I don't think I'll be upgrading in the future (besides, I jumped off the ridiculous Apple OSX and Logic upgrade bandwagon). My question is when my current hard drive finally crashes and burns in a couple of years, can I be certain that I can still request and obtain new authorization codes for these programs, which will be back-level by then? Who knows, by then everything may be using dongles. I just want to make sure I can still use these programs in a few years.
Should I just go ahead and request the authorization codes now, to prepare for this scenario?
Thanks,
Mike Naglak

I think the problem with this is that the authorization codes are randomly generated and matched to the configuration on the machine you are using. So I don't think getting a code 'in advance' is going to help you, because it may be refused on a future install.phoenix224 wrote:Hello,

On the other hand, I've never heard of anyone being rejected by IK for a legitimate authorization request.

It's new machine time for me. I submitted requests from my user area at the IKStore and got 3 additional authorizations each for all of my IK based products fairly quickly. I haven't even installed/re-installed the software yet.
