Hi all,
I'm experimenting with FL6 demo (run as a VSTi in Reaper) and trying to understand how I can use the Channels on the step sequencer to trigger different MIDI notes on a single VSTi instance of FXpansion's DR-008 loaded inside FL Studio.
In other words, I want all sequencer channels routed to a single VSTi, so I dont have to load a separate instance of the DR-008 (and related kit presets) for each channel.
Is this possible?

On DR-008, set the port number in the top right corner to "0"
Then, add several midi-out channels, all of them routing to channel 1 on port 0.
In the MIDI-Out channel settings window, theres a keyboard at the bottom with an orange thing on it ... right click on a different place to have the base note be there. The base note is there where the step sequencer plays by default, so if your snare is on D3, set it to D3 and then C5 (the default on the step sequencer) will trigger D3 in DR-008.

You load up the vst you want - the DR-008, and then if you want to have one channel for the kicks, one for the snares, one for the hi-hats etc, you just right-click on the DR-008 channel and choose 'clone selected channel' or something. Do this as many times as you need (it will automatically copy whatever presets or kit you have chosen from the original channel). Find out what keys correspond to the particular sound you want from the drum machine and draw them in each channel ie draw notes in the first channel for kick, in the second channel draw the notes for snare, third for hi-hat etc. Edit: Actually Arke's way is better - I just realised you want to use the step sequencer instead of drawing the notes!
