Logic on Intel Mac (Mellotron)

I'm working on a piece which has a part that just screams mellotron flute (the pop flute sound in Logic just makes it sound awful, but it's a decent place holder for the moment). I am having a hard time finding any (free or demo) plug-ins that work with Logic, let alone with an Intel Mac. I remember I had 2 different free mellotron synths for my PC. I am looking for a free or low cost mellotron that will work or some alternative that might be cool (not dead set on the mellotron). Any general resources to find AUs for Intel Mac would also be welcome.
