Are there any midi ADSR's?

Is there some kind of envelope that retriggers when ever midi is sent to it? I'm trying to give dynamics to overdriven synths.

I'm pretty sure i saw one yesterday, or at least something that seemed to do what you said from the description. I remember because i briefly considered downloading it, but then decided against it since i was 'cutting down'
i'll have a look through my history and see if anything jumps out at me.

here is one that does the opposite:
it uses the envelope of the audio to shape the envelope of a MIDI CC
...maybe not so handy now, but ya can never have too many tools!

I hope you'z dont need a really tight adsr cause that does not have a very small slope!!Wait untill you see this, then:

The NDC plugin works well enough for me, but from the Soma Enveloper, I'm getting alot more than I'm putting in.
I set it up to control a filter cutoff and it seems the plugin doesn't need any MIDI signal input at all. Even after I deleted all the midi events being sent to it, I was still receiving modulation from it. And what's more, the modulation was nothing like it should have been. The simple controls suggest that effect going to my filter cutoff should be a simple opening and closing, but instead what I'm getting is continuous modulation like you would get from an LFO.
It still might come in handy, but I was wondering if there were other similar effects elsewhere. Setting up things like this is so easy in FL and I'm afraid I haven't really taken full advantage of that fact. If anyone knows of any more, please dish!!!

Thanks all!
After trial and experimentation, I found that FL Studio's envelope controller is the best for such a task.
Well it's on sub bass in this case so you know.camsr wrote:The problem with this approach is it makes your instrument monophonic. You'll need more instances of your instrument to get polyphony.
