The latest version is working OK but has developed the annoying habit of skipping patches if I scroll using the mousewheel - is there a way to stop it doing this? I'd prefer to select a patch and have it stay on that patch while I'm playing it even if I'm scrolling to see what other patches are there.

Post

Yes - also, is it the standalone rhino you're talking about ?

No - I don't use the standalone - I prefer to wrap it in Minihost.

Post

did you really get the final 2.04 version ? the first released ones did not work in minihost...

I got the one I mentioned further back in the thread - you said that was the latest version (unless there's beeen one since) - HOWEVER, since you mentioned it I've tried it in Energy XT and it doesn't do this (as far as I can see) so maybe there are still problems in Minihost.

First, I love this synth. But I deleted everything - full uninstall - folders and everything else erased - then do a reinstall - and I repaet this process 4 or 5 times - and I still get "Rhino.whatever is an unresponsive program and needs to shut down" I haven't been able to install this thing successfully no matter what I do. I am going to revert back to 2.03 for now and wait for another update. This thing is still kinda buggy forme, though I have never had any problems whatsoever with the former versions. If anyone has any suggestions, it would be helpful. I am using this synth in a couple of my current worx and don't really want to replace it with another.
Thanks in advance,
Jazzy
Did you reboot after uninstalling Rhino and deleting the folders? If not, do so.

Thanks ....you. Sorry, but I still haven't been able to get this version to work on my set up. No program has ever given me this much trouble and I have a ton of them in my arsenal! I guess i'll keep trying, but this does suck to have paid for something and not be able to use it.......

It's working fine here. Is there any way you could give us more info on your system? Something has to be conflicting with it...have you tried running a registry cleaner?

Post

1) uninstall
2) search for any instance of rhino2.dll on your system and delete them
3) reinstall

This *has* to do the trick.

----So hey, whatever happened to the possibility of getting the Rhino effects as a seperate vst, so they could be used on anything, is that still in the works or ?

Or an audio in osc (like Absynth)??

----So umm, can we get some kind of word from Mr. Tick himself about the likelihood of a stand-alone/seperate RhinoFX vst ?
