SynthFont can do it...Can Reason?

SynthFont, the very simple and free MIDI/SoundFont program, can monitor a MIDI file and update it as I change the MIDI file while keeping all my instrument settings. In other words, if I am composing in Finale and export the composition as a MIDI and save over a previous MIDI file already used by SynthFont, SynthFont will automatically recognize this and update the MIDI file while not resetting any of my SynthFont instrument/mixing choices.

However, with Reason, I am stuck having to replace the MIDI file and going through and changing all the instrument/mixing settings every time I want to hear an updated arrangement. It's rather a tedious and time wasting process.

Is there anyway to get resolve this issue (or is there something I missed in the help files :-\)? Or is there another host I could use which does this (Cubase? Ableton?) while still using Reason for instruments?
