The 10 bad things about FL Studio
------------------------------

1. Not possible to paste notes in the piano roll at the position of the playback cursor.
2. No auto-chord mode for playing chords with a single MIDI key,especially with the typing keyboard.
3. Only 3 octave presets for the typing keyboard (C3,C4 and C5) and no Keyboard shortcut key to toggle between them.
4. No way to raise / lower velocity of multiple selected notes by equal amount all at once.
5. No way to change volume of all faders at the same time in the step sequencer window. Essential if you like to lower all channels without touching the master fader and when not using the mixer faders at all.
6. There's no way to select all channels on the Step Sequencer with a keyboard shortcut (Ctrl+A) ,only possible with a mouse double-click.
7. No keyboard shortcut keys for selecting presets/programs from a VSTi (you must use the mouse and click on the 2 tiny arrows)
8. No step gator,so effects like the gatemask in Tunafish or the gates in Albino2 are not possible.
9. No indication of which VST preset / program is active (no "a" letter in the menu) when selecting presets from the menu. (remember,this is for VST fx,not VSTi) Also no info in the "titlebar" of the VST wrapper window.
10. No mappable transport keys to a gamepad.

If FL Studio only had these features,it would be much more user-friendly and easier to use.

So why not shift+move? or just ... move them after?

Thats what Chordspace is for.

Buy a MIDI controller.

Yes there is, but I don't remember how because I don't use it. I think it was alt+click or somethign like that.

Actually, I agree with this one.

Sure, that might be useful too. Ideally, you could configure all the shortcuts.

Envelope generator does this and about 17 millino times as powerful. Alternatively, you can set up cut channels in the step sequencer (although that might not always work).

Don't really need it but sure that could be a nice feature.

Well, thats like the above mappable keys in general.

2. Dunno. Maybe it should, maybe it shouldn't. But Chordspace will probably do it better anyway, and doesn't take up any space, and is free, and the slightly better version is cheap.

3. I use a laptop, and I have an Oxygen8 MIDI Controller. It all fits into my backpack with enough room for my uni stuff and the various cables.

Select the notes (or nothing to select all of them).
Tools Menu -> Scale Levels (or just Alt-X)

This gives you more options for group velocity scaling than most hosts.

i can think of one more. no multi out vst support. Now that is a bad one.

if you scroll the scren to where you want to paste the notes it will paste them in place...I agree it would be nice to have it go to the cursor but this is a quick fix...

if I read you right, you're are mistaken...you need to enable mutiple outs for the pluggin....see the manual...it's a dropdown menu in the upper left corner of the wrapper for the pluggin...

BTW softsynth...the worst thing in FL is the step sequencer imho...use the piano roll instead...use the mixer to link channels...I think you might see some of your woes go if you stop using the SS...imo FL has the best piano roll I have used...

im guessing fl also supports multiple midi channells per pluggin too?

One work around would be to make a send plugin that could be assigned to any channel!

I agree with this one.. Cubase has a sweet sound especially on the parametric eq's per track..

you can't really control the routing of the outs, just the master...like with vsampler it uses the channel you set for the mixer for the master out than each channel after for the individual channels...
