All well and good, but what about us NON-Reason folks? Isn't there anything that can be packaged with the IK Miro that could qualify as a 'special' bundle for Group Buy purposes? Hmmmm?

Well, yes this is a possibility too although there's not as much room to play with creative bundling or discounting. We'd have to respect MAP price for at least Philharmonik still so it wouldn't be lower than that. That's because it is a big seller in the stores. Ironically, Miroslav Refill Gold isn't a big seller in the stores yet...it should be but I don't think Reason users even know about it yet since it was quietly announced and stores aren't stocking the full GOLD refill nearly as much as the plug-in. If the group buy goes well then maybe more people will be aware of the product and it might actually HELP it become more widely available in stores! So, oddly enough in this case a group buy where it could go below map might be good for everybody (well, especially the person who wanted to buy it for the lowest possible price of course but also for creating buzz and awareness of the product). If we did it that would be why. Give it a boost and let you guys all benefit from the o'l group buy model thing.BERFAB wrote:All well and good, but what about us NON-Reason folks? That's not to say we won't have some juicy ST format and other format group buys too coming up as well. We've just been taking a break from that to bring you loops galore.

I know you can't please everyone. But I just hate when I have to sit out on a group buy!Squids wrote: That's not to say we won't have some juicy ST format and other format group buys too coming up as well. We've just been taking a break from that to bring you loops galore.

Me too. Some of you guys really make these group buys successful and fun with your energy and interest. But, we can mix it up a bit perhaps. A little Reason here, a little SampleTank there a little Kontakt or Rex... there's room for everything.

OOOOHHH YEAH !!!!! When will that start ????Squids wrote:Ummmm.Hmmm. People downloading our refills without paying for them isn't too thrilling to hear about I must admit. We put a lot of effort and expense into making this product so we hope that people buy it and not copy it or download it illegally.
So, yes, please DO buy it from www.esoundz.com
But, I think we might do a group buy on the Miroslav Gold bundle. What do you guys think of that???? Could be good. Also Philharmonik owners can crossgrade to it for cheap u know.

Did someone say group buy???
You know Squids, the World Group buy was really cool. After we got the group to 100, we got all three formats. It would be really cool to do something like that, maybe??

I can't do that with the Miroslav stuff because it already is in SampleTank format as a plug-in. It is also a pretty large collection and would be a lot of work to put it into other formats like Kontakt or whatever. We may eventually do it but we couldn't do that for a group buy or it would take months of just doing that. We're hard at work with Studiophonik and loop libraries. But, I gotta tell ya, doing the Miroslav Refills was just as difficult as doing the Philharmonik plug-in. All those Combinators and everything took us forever to do. But, it is worth it. If you own Reason I don't know how or why anyone would want to be without this! Seriously, it adds such warmth and emotion to productions done with Reason. I know it isn't cheap (well maybe this group buy will help those on a budget) but relatively speaking it actually IS for a complete orchestra and choir collection.harmony gardens wrote:Did someone say group buy???![]()

Yes, I'll participate too. It's the only way to get these refills for a price I can afford now and I do 80% of my stuff with Reason.

Hang on to your hat Tim,,, it's coming. A group buy is basically a sliding price structure where the more people join the group, the lower the price everyone pays for the product. You don't bid on the items, you just get a better price as more people sign up. It's sort of an auction in reverse. Squids will announce it here and in the KVR market place. There will be a link on those threads to take you to a sign up page on the eSoundz site, or you can just go to the eSoundz site and sign up there.timfarman wrote:I'm new to theses group buys but as I said I'd really like to be in on this one....not sure how it works exactly...whereabouts do people 'bid' ? this site, or..?
The group memebers then post links in other forums and tell their friends, to spread the word, in the hopes that others will join the group, which of course lowers the price. Also, eSoundz has the epointz program. If someone purchases something from eSoundz, they are asked to enter the name of another eSoundz customer who told them about the product. The purchaser and the person they use as a referrer each get $5 worth of epointz, which are a credit to your eSoundz account, that can be spent on eSoundz products.
Squids always comes up with something extra cool for the group buys, too, that make it fun. In the Studio Profiles Special Edition Group Buy, Squids also gave out things like Danny Gottlieb drum heads, drum sticks, t shirts, autographed cd's, and other swag.
It is sooo much fun!!!

Okay, we're looking like 95% now. That's pretty close. I may have some even better news for you tomorrow.
