Vulcanized Tulip
This song demonstrates:
Novuzeit Hands Of Darkness
vocoded by percussion through
DtBlkFx!
Iridisynth with dblue Glitch and a touch of Shattershot Lite.
Ya don't hear sounds like this every day.
I love DtBlkFx so, so much.
Edit: I added this
Lost Tech Ditty

Well now, this is very interesting.
Not what I expected from you, that's for sure. Good stuff, though. This is the first time I've heard your music.
I should listen to more.

Don't go listening to my music.Ildon wrote:Well now, this is very interesting. Not what I expected from you, that's for sure. Good stuff, though. This is the first time I've heard your music.

It's too eccentric and any one song is not much of an indication of what any other will sound like.
Go listen to mellotronaut. He's awesome.
Not what you'd expect from me?
I imagine based on my online persona you'd expect
singing Japanese middle school choirs and squeak toys
brutally bitcrushed into a dnb... hmm, must go make new song!
Thanks for the idea.

So this seems to be the japanese-tulip-answer to 'west goes east goes west'. We could do a ping-pong-match in the future. Very good destruction crush crush. I like it, but my sweetheart fell out of our sofa. Here's the link to the first ping for 'idlon':runagate wrote:Don't go listening to my music.Ildon wrote:Well now, this is very interesting. Not what I expected from you, that's for sure. runagate, the consistent mentalness of your stuff never fails to make my jaw drop in both awe and laughter.
Some very witty interplay between parts in the first half of this. Looking forward to plumbing the depths of DtBlkFX further. This sounds very percussive, which is something I often have problems with in the frequency domain without cheating in a wave editor afterwards.

Parameter animation is your friend!
Needless to say, although I probably experiment with DtBlkFx more than anyone I didn't exactly know beforehand what the perc-carrier-through-HandsOfDarkness would sound like. I spent a falafelot of time designing the sound in HoD prior to even sending the perc through it but I was absolutely stunned when the sound that came out is roughly:
A sun being used as a kick pedal + Jovian thunder + weird echoey trails of semi-oleaginous quarks
It's both quagmirey-wet and volcanic.
I wish I had a plug-in that did just that noise so that just this little ditty didn't ream my processor to 99.999%.
Mentalness is why I have to wear this damned helmet all the time. It contrasts poorly with my brow ridges.

BabelFish didn't much care for that Italian.
Also, it's not actually vocoded with DtBlkFx it's that other spectral vocode-like mode that only the stereo version has... can't recall the name offhand.

Overall I'd say it sounds like you overdrove the inputs on a Dokorder tape machine and transfered the results to a speak and spell while watching the game results on Dish.
or something similar...

Lol laughing at these nice comments was well worth the effort (which was psychotically immense for the brevity and strangeness of the tune) put into making this lil ditty. I chopped it up for samples.
Enjoy it while it lasts - runagate is going pop next week.

Carbonated? I might have to make a carbonated sound.

whatever it was, it sounds like you killed it :p
forget who made it, but there's some spectral morph filter (x-y pad, also a delay by same.. not the new MORPH thingy) that i got this 'ice cubes stirred in glass jug' effect with (had a file up for a while) that might go nice with carbonation :p
nice voices in e meets w meets e
