Hi, jeffn1.
If you go to http://andrew-duke.com/contests.html you'll find 4 zips of samples
(for a total of 385 samples) that you are free to play with and use. The samples
come in 24bit or 16bit, your choice. There's also a related remix contest (info on
the same page), that you are welcome to participate in if interested, but you don't
have to enter the contest to download the 385 free samples.

The samples can be used in music other than remix contest entries, I'd just appreciate a heads-up a la "hey, here's a link to a track I did with some of those samples" sort of thing so I can check out what you come up with.

What's the problem?
You must use the samples if you're into the contest but they are royality free and you can use them freely in your music even if you decide not to participate in the contest.
