FL Studio: Teens and fanboys
Orion: Only two users - Bones & Kriminal
Logic: Supporters of corporate evil (PC betrayl not forgotten)
N-Track: People who should have known better
Reaper: Ex-musicians now more interested in beta testing
Traktion: Cheap-ass zealots
Ableton Live: Smug fashion victims

  :hihi: :hihi:

May I add:
SawStudio: "We sell our sons and daughters for an upgrade!"
In the past upgrades have been $100. There have only been two paid upgrades since 2001.

Before you libel someone get your facts straight.

Looks like you had your sense of humor surgically removed when you were young. You might want to check eBay and buy one before some decides you're a sour, humorless twat.

Oh, nevermind! Too late!

How about adding some more smilies? I'm not going to get drawn in to this.

This forum is filled with foul, adolescent language. Absolute slander in the most towel-snapping, indecent sense (look at some of the comments about Roger Nichols). Sure I don't agree with his business practices, but nobody should be called some of things I've read here.

Ben, you are lucky this whole forum and its parent company hasn't been sued out of existence.

Really, I suggest that you clean it up or shut it down. It's only a matter of time before some of this stuff causes some really expensive legal problems.

f**k!

I think that the thread title might shed some light on this, Bill.

Every host has been mentioned as an object of hatred by somebody in this thread (and for a variety of reasons). What it proves is NOT that KVR is full of juvenile morons(that is a seperate subject), but simply that different people have different preferences and requirements for their sequencer. The most interesting thing I have learnt from this thread is that there's a fair few people who regularly post here at KVR who, it turns out, "hate with a passion" a particular host,... and yet who rarely slag that host off elsewhere in threads. Surely that is at least fairly positive.

As for Roger Nichols, I have no idea what you are talking about. Perhaps you should defend him (whoever he is) on the thread(s) where you feel he has been unfairly criticied rather than taking this particular thread off topic.

Interesting. So it's really the fanboy users you hate, not the actual program?

I'm slightly the same way with regard to FL, although nothing personal about specific people - just a general sense.
I'm the same about users of Cubarse, Logic, Sonar and (especially) Pro Tools who claim that anything that doesn't cost £££ is basically a toy and is okay if you want to bang a couple of premade trance loops together but you can basically forget about doing any real music.

And people who claim that it's actually impossible (not just slightly inconvenient) for them to make music on a given sequencer because of an incredibly minor workflow issue. ("I can't find a sequencer that lets me do this with a right click instead of a left click! I give up, I don't know how anyone can make any music ever.") Beethoven was deaf and had to write everything by hand for f**k's sake.

And I'm surprised that so few people are annoyed with EXT fanboys like meself who give the impression that there's a bot in the Hosts forum responding to every thread with "try EnergyXT. It can do whatever it is you were asking and costs almost nothing!"
Cool, the two responses I was waiting for: the Beethoven comparison, and a fanboy-eXT comment... :D :D :D

(i'm ane XT fanboy myself  )

Sorry Cakewalk by my vote goes for Sonar. Sonar = All Features but no workflow

Guys!! Take this as a fun thread. No fighting here hehe :D
Since I'm a FLS user, I love FL Studio (except for the audio recording)

After using demos, I have a lot for respect for Orion (for their instruments), and Live (for the remix experience before v4, 5, etc.)

My feelings for Acid Pro is still questionable.

For the rest of the other hosts (Sonar, Logic, Cubase, DP, etc.) I can stand them because they all became too conplex for me.

Pro-Tools is a subject in itself. Enough said.
