I'm already quite fond of .v 1.5. I'm dying to get ahold of 2.0. You're GUI work is absolutely stunning!!

I'm one of those "luddite retard" kinda old school guitar guys that finds comfort in software that looks and feel like hardware!!

The whole amp was made without a comparison to a "real" amp

I have never owned a real guitar amp either

As a bass player I had my ears blown out by many though

Never played a guitar/amp? Does that mean you've never played a
guitar thru an amp? Or does it mean you've never played EITHER
a guitar OR an amp....in which case those presets will be COMPLETELY untainted!!

Ive never played EITHER a guitar OR a real amp - in fact FreeAmp really is my first exposure to a decent amp sim of any kind....

i make presets usually with synths running thru it, or a clean guitar soundfont....

so can i help out with the presets? and if so - what format do you need? .fxp?

Which may be just fine for synths and samples but might
not translate well with a real guitar. I've made presets
with softsynths in several different ampsims that sounded
bitchin' with the synths but not so good with guitars.
Of course it's up to the devs, but if it was up to me
I would require presets to be made with a real guitar.

I'm not really a 'dev' Joe is the man, but I'd say a synth section in the FXB would be actually quite cool. I can think of lots of synths that lack their own effects, and a contained kit in a freeamp preset could be neat?

such could be cool, but that's not really what matthewjumps
was talking about. He was talking about making regular presets
for guitarists with synths and soundfonts. All I'm trying to say here is that presets made with synths and soundfonts might not sound very good with GUITARS.
