Greetings,
This is probably a retared question. but I can't figure it out.
I like to set up individual tracks in cubase to record different midi channels. So for example, record everything that comes in on a midi port on channel 1 and ignore incomming messages on all other channels.
This is in Cubase SL 2.
Regards,
John

Enable the Input transformer, filter all events on a channel not equal to the one you want to record.

For example Midi CH 3Limes wrote:Can someone PLEASE elaborate on this, as i believe this is the same problem i am having !!
1. select/highlight the track in question.
2. look in the top right corner of the track inspector for the icon that has a little arrow going down, right, up and then right on it. (when you see it you'll know what I mean. That's the best I can describe it).
3. click on it and select "local"
- the window that pops up is the input transformer.
4. in the input transformer select Filter -> Channel 03 , and check "Active Module" and close the input transformer. If you open it again, there should be a line saying Filter Target = Channel, Condition = Unequal, Parameter = 3
Now that track will only record incomming midi on Channel 3.
Hope that explanation made sense. I am running on severe lack of sleep for the past 2 weeks (work thing).
Regards,
John
