reason rewire sucks. i can't stand it. im probably going to delete all my refills, render every project I ever created, and sell reason. that will be a golden day indeed. so don't waste a dime on refills. save your money for orchestral sample libraries like VSL, Kontakt, EWQLSO, etc. Of course if you don't intend to use rewire, GREAT! Stick with reason. but reason-only is extremely limiting.

Some people (even a giant Squid) neglect to realize that this is a company forum. Just sellin' our sounds man! But, thanks for suggesting no one buy them! Exactly what we'd like to hear when we just slashed the freakin' price to please everyone! lol Ha! Whatever. There are so many Reason users out there that obviously the Refills are made for them. So they can have things like beautiful Miroslav orchestral sounds or other Sonic Reality instruments to work with since they are ALREADY USING the platform. I don't think all of a sudden everyone is going to chuck their Reason if they are used to it and like working in that environment, Rewiring or not. It's just too popular.
Anyway, IF you do own Reason 3 then this Miroslav Refill deal is NOT TO MISS, trust me. It is full of inspiring sounds with mood and vibe for days. It is useful to have good strings, choirs and orchestral instruments, percussion etc. for nearly ALL styles of music, not just for classical and film scoring. But, you hear symphonic sounds in Rock, R&B, Rap/Hip Hop, Country, Jazz and even some electronic music (not to mention nothing says you can't take orchestral sounds and twist them into other things... good source).
We're sending out a newsletter today. I will start the usual Group Buy thread in the Marketplace forum. Let's do this e-style!
Actually, we are REALLY gonna need your help on this outside KVR. Thanks Mark for posting the links. Let's see what we can do with a Reason-only group buy for a change (and don't worry guys, we will have ST, Rex and Kontakt group buys coming too if that is more your thing).
Thanks.

Frankly Squids, your restraint in not editing/deleting these posts when they pop up is admirable, but also a bit puzzling. Anyone can see them for what they are, but, at the same time, it IS your shop. I, for one, can do without the negativity. It's actually a big part of why I come here...KVR, and SR in particular, is my happy place.
And I don't even use Reason...
Seriously though, honest critique is one thing, but when it crosses over into vitriol, by all means, exercise your veto power. And don't feel like you need to apologize. I think I speak for many of us when I say that we GET it.

Squids is a nice guy, but for some reason a contraversy magnet. I don't understand why, always working to get us great deals.
It's kinda like giving Willie Wonka a hard time

Do you really know, what you say? You haven't scratched on 'reason's' surface, yet. You only try to be some trolly troll.Architeuthis wrote:reason rewire sucks. i can't stand it. im probably going to delete all my refills, render every project I ever created, and sell reason. that will be a golden day indeed. so don't waste a dime on refills. save your money for orchestral sample libraries like VSL, Kontakt, EWQLSO, etc. Of course if you don't intend to use rewire, GREAT! This group-buy is a great offer for everyone, who can't afford the full price now.

I think Squids subsribes to "fight bad speech with better speech" philosophy. It's interesting to note that Arch lists Reason on his signature, which is where most people brag about what they have and enjoy using. I actually enjoy reading Squids replies to some of these, because he is so good at putting his perspective forward.
I don't use Reason, and I already have Philharmonik, so I won't be joining this one, but I can help by saying how great the Mirslov sounds are, and what a terrific oppertunity this is for Reason users to get a good deal on some excellent sounds!!
eSoundz GB's are always fun, and always a good deal.

If I didn't already own Miro this probably would have inspired me to keep Reason. But I sold Reason (great product, just not for me) and I do already own Miro.
Still, it's a great opportunity for all the Reason users to get their hands on an awesome library of sounds...and a nice compliment to what's already in there.
Squids...are these NN-XT patches? Just wondering because if they are you could even layer them with the built-in Orkester sounds which would be WAY cool...

Sometimes I do delete the blatant disrespectful ones. It isn't the end of the world for someone to suggest a competing product in here... heck even I do it sometimes! But, you know, there is a way to say what you're gonna say in a company's own forum and be respectful. That's all. That said, it is really harmless sometimes just to leave it because people make up their own minds anyway. If you use Reason then... this is a good thing to consider! So, I think people will get that even if there are a few stones thrown for no good... reason.BERFAB wrote:Frankly Squids, your restraint in not editing/deleting these posts when they pop up is admirable, but also a bit puzzling.
