Hard techno? Is that like C + C Music Factory?
I can't imagine them using Lost Tech but it would certainly improve their songs if you put it across the master bus.

The gui isn't my problem - it's that the translation from gui acronym labels to the concepts of the synthesis to figuring out what sound is going to happen has taken me months to wrap my head around.

I'm working on a "Lost Tech for Dummies" and preset bank at the moment if any of ya'll want to conrtibute

OK here's a preset bank.
All were tested on one of the three following:

Daisy Synth VST's preset "Roots"
String Things's preset "Banjo"
or drum loops or various sorts.

runagate's Lost Technology preset bank 1

As always, because you can't direct link to The Auditorium, please scroll downb to the bottom of the post for the link to download the .rar.

I don't know how to put the presets into an .fxb or if Lost Tech even accepts preset banks like that but hope you enjoy.

T RUNAGATE mad propz fo the preset pack. I've only looked at the first handful so far and already had several "gee I would never had thought of that myself" experiences. The infinite echo of the Atlantean Tamburae is a type of sound I didn't think LT was capable of. Many thanks.

Am I correct in assuming that it would be OK if I put some of these in the built-in set?

Oh, yes, indeed. I'm hoping to work up a ton more as I am absolutely in love with Lost Tech.

I am pushing my poor PC to death at the moment trying to render my next one of the day.

The reason I made presets is that I you can come up with things no one, not even you it's creator apparently, could foresee it would do. It really is pretty damned hard to figure the thing out and like I said I been working at it for a while because I really think that crazy music-makers will love it once the learning curve is a little less steep.

Are you thinking about some specific improvements that might help flatten the learning curve? The manual could still be extended, of course. I'm also considering adding explanatory tool tips to the controls. Since LT already takes up a lot of screen space, I'd rather not make the static labels any larger.

Yes, and maybe a PDF version of the manual, embedded with LT in Zip format.
And what about including presets ? SOmebody here made some that could be helpful to start, and it would be easier and quicker to get them without even having to browse the HD from the host's plugin window, but a direct access to them ?

I'm into an attempt to make an alternative GUI for it, but i don't know how to "put" it in the VST.
At this stage, i have a photoshop file that can get jpeg or png, but as it is coded in C++, i hav no idea of what software is needed to "assign" my custom interface to the plugin : is it easy and risk-free ?
