I have some tunes saved using v1 of Manystation, i updated to v2 and now when i load the tunes using v1 i can no longer open the edit screen to change sample etc. Is this normal and if so is there a workaround so maybe v1 and v2 could work along side each other? or all v1 sounds are shifted to open in v2 instaed of my host looking for v1? Do i have to note the sounds used in v1 tunes and manually open them again in v2?
Thankyou

Hi
Ver 2 replaces ver1 without any troubles and all your songs made in ver1 should open fine with ver2.
The edit and preset system has changed with version 2 but all works ....check the manual update and the whats new note to see how ver2 loading of sounds etc works. (Just click on the preset or soundset name in the gui and the load box comes up.)
You will not need ver1 installed as ver 2 replaces it without any trouble and everything should load fine that you have already made with ver 1 ....If you have troubles ...be sure that ver 2 is installed correctly and pointing to the proper Soundset / Data folder. Perhaps remove ver 1 dll.

Hello all,
I have now updated to v2.28 and i still have the same problem, when i open a song in 'Madtracker' that uses v1 Manystation i cant open the Manystation vst editor (i mean the sound selection screen) to change sounds. What i have to do is to load a new instance of Manystation, then re-select the sound i want and then delete the first Manystation (v1).
Im sure this is a problem with the 'Madtracker' program but its a little frustrating that no-one else has this problem. I have tried rescanning the vsts.

I saw something like that when I first put on MS2, Paul- all I had was a little box in the corner.Tthe problem seems to be that the GUI is off screen (don't ask why). If you have another host (download the EXT demo, for example), open it up in there and move it to the center of the screen. Close the second host and reopen the one with your project- it should appear...

Hy guys, I'm the support for the WusikEngine, which Manystation runs on. To be honest, its a first. V2 is fully compatible with V1 songs.
What happens when you try to open the GUI/Editor? Any messages?
Best Regards, WilliamK

In response to Pauls question:-
If i start a new song using only v2 everything is ok, the message i get from 'Madtracker' when i open a v1 song with v2 installed is 'Cannot open vst editor' also the sounds have changed a little, i have run the v1 - v2 data converter, at the moment ive installed v1 back over the top of v2 everything is ok but of course i dont have the v2 gui now.
Thanks for your responses but this isnt the only vst that i get trouble with in 'Madtracker', Halion player doesnt save its sounds within a song so every time i load a song i have to reload the sounds that it uses so please dont think that there is a problem with Manystation.
Thankyou

Hi Advent57
One thing i want to mention is:
The version 2 ManyStation installer, already puts the proper converted presets into a ManyStation Folder, located in your preset folder.
I would advise that you use these presets and do not convert the presets yourself as we fixed a few presets since Version 1 (only 3 i think that would not load because of a space at the end of the preset name) So guys be sure you use our converted presets that install for you. The convertor is if you want to convert presets other than the included 700.
Other than that i would say you might have to deal with the MadTracker support as i think this does sound like the trouble may be there. You could also tell them to contact us if you get them.
Let us know how it goes.
