save as flp = audio references, save as zip = audio in zip. this includes audio clips not related to sampler channels right? i know that audio clips have the same interface and are really just sampler channels with the clip showing in the playlist but ask to verify.

automatically, probably not, but nothing is stopping you from appending those files to the zip archive. zip is universally accessible so you could just drag the sf2/sfz files right onto the zip file and if you have a decent archiver (there are free ones -- 7zip is awesome) it will pop up saying "add this to the zip file?" and you say ok, and then do a happy jig

of course I can do that, but the problem is that plugin in question will not find that file, so you'll have to reload it manually and if you send zipped package to somebody you'll have to make notes about this issue. So it is a workaround but a bit painful. But probably there's no better way possible.

hrm. maybe fruity soundfont player could do it, but i doubt if the vst api spec or whatever has a rule for finding external dependencies for a plug that fl could exploit to do it?

fruity soundfont could though i'm sure because it's fruitys own plug...

hrm.. yes the plugin finding the file, well if it's in the zip, simply put it into the sfz or soundfont player yourself after loading the zipped package? i know it's not ideal, but we dont live in ideal times at the moment

heh, maybe fruity soundfont is fruity's own plug but unfortunately not my own (as it's not included in producer package). Anyway i don't use soundfonts too often and even less often exchange projects, so it's not a big deal.

it is if you have fl producer, in the 6.1 beta it's there.. you can buy juicepack and get it right now though for fl 6.0.x and anything else as it's vst

honestly, i identified most with the main character in 1984 more than the others. also in brave new world i identified most with the savage. does this mean i am a walking paradox?

surely i think i'm not one of the spies, because i'm still cognizant of the fact that it's still not ideal, and it's still a work around. but i am not a slave to the workflow, i can think outside of the box enough to make the most of what i have.

i'll see you at the next 10 minute hate, and i'll be rolling my eyes and faking it to make it through the day without being jailed, killed, or stuffed down the memory hole.

btw, he is refering to 1984 the book by george orwell, and brazil a film along the same lines, and i was refering to brave new world a book by aldous huxley. the books deal with utopian society and all of it's hairy warts and the message in BNW is that there will never be a utopia unless we can all completely zap our memories of freewill and live only in isolation from 'reality' -- the books are excellent. i've not seen brazil myself yet but i've heard many good things about it. from what i've heard it's along the same lines as 1984 though.

seriously, i think it's a big stretch to use them against me for simply saying 'work with the grain not against it'; which IMO is a wise way to work/live.

err... so what about fl studio 6.1? Is it good, any bugs? I'm currently on dial-up so cannot be bothered to download betas (and 6.08 is working ok here too).

tbh I hadn't heard of the movie...but than I'm not much for films...but I got the 1984 reference....just some early morning sillines...

The FLStudio 6.1 beta looks to have great features!!!
