Hi Folks! I am new, just bought BFD. I wondered if anyone is using MOTU symphony? I am thinking about getting a axiom 25 key midi controller and some sort of symphony software for composing some movie soundtrack or commercials. I can't afford some of the libraries I have seen on the net that go for 1800 USD! So what do you guys think? What do you use?
thanks
Cary

I would look at GPO, Miroslav, or Kontakt2 with Kirk Hunter Emerald or Sapphire, before I would choose MOTU.
Some of it's based on the reviews, some of it's based on MOTU being far more a Mac than PC-oriented developer, and some of it's based on the ILok - I run only Pace-free machines (Miroslav has a synchrosoft dongle, for what it's worth, while GPO and Kontakt2 use NI C/R).
