Decent Trance Kicks (HELP!)

Hey guys
So after countless hours of searching, I've only been able to find a select few of useable and decent sounding kick samples. I'm looking for some basic trance (not hardstyle) kicks that have a good amount of low-end, and aren't clipped from someone elses song (like where you can hear the hihat tail-note)
Vipzone-samples.com had a few good free ones, but most of their stuff is too happy-hardcore/hardstyle for me, I just need a few good solid sounding kicks that aren't distorted or processed to sound like clubringer (haha)
Anyways, anyone know of any good packs that are free, I've done so much searching, and every link I've looked at on the forum has either been bad, or wanted 40-100 bucks for a couple hundred wav files (who knows how good these 100 dollar sample packs really sound anyways)

You could try Stomper and make them yourself.
I've made some killer bassdrums with this one.

It's all in the processing.
I found myself getting frustrated and alwasy ended up going back to 909 samples. It's kinda surprising to learn that all the new, bigger, harder kicks are basically the same samples as the trance tracks in the 90's but processed differently.
I usually take a decent 909 kick sample and send it to camelphatfree, inching up the compression slider (and subtly the distortion one too). You can also try the tls saturated driver: Turn the driver most of the way up with zero attack/long release. THen to a regular compressor to accentuate the attack.
Also layering can make fat. rape this thread of all it's samples and layer a few kicks together, seinding the new layered kicks through the same processing as you would a single kick (like above).
Also remember that a kick by itself and a kick in the mix are different things. I usally dont work on my kick until I have a good bit of the track laid-out.

Another option, and I know this will sound crazy, is to learn how those 909 kicks are synthesized, and do the same thing yourself... Low frequency sine wave with a pitch sweep, filtered noise for the upper part, and a short pulse for extra punch. add distortion/waveshaping to taste...
Incomplete list of my gear: 1/8" audio input jack.

Sorry, forgot to mention the creator of the above kicks. Get them off my site while you can, because you probably won't find them anywhere else.

Kicks are like clothing in the winter time . . . best used in layers.
CM had a tip in a recent issue that really mad sense. Layer like 2 or 3 kicks on top each other, don't forget that you can add in a simple low sine wave bass sound from a VST or sample to add some tonality/body to the ensemble . . . then run all of them through a gate so that they are triggered at the same time, maybe follow that with some compression if you need it.
Bottom line is, you don't have to find the perfect sample. Just stop thinking unidimensionally and experiment.

seriously, try this plugin
bddvr
it's very easy to use, and there's a great pack of patches someone made for it right there too.
