A few weeks ago I ditched the demo because it was incredibly unstable on my machine, but this 6.0a update seem to have fixed most of it so I myself just started demoing the thing toroughly. It's also quite cheap compared to, say, Nuendo or Sonar producer. And, not to overlook the no-dongle AND liberal Sony EULA and transfer policy.
Well that was a dumd idea, bullshark
No, that wasn't me.

Having the tools and mastering all the intricacies of using them is two different thing.

I'm not sure if you're talking the image or the soundtrack here. I think it's possible to do better if you can manage to adopt a slightly different set of sensibilities than is popular in Hollywood these days. I think a lot of those sensibilities... ideas of what's "good" and what isn't are something that keep the whole thing exclusive. You've got to forgoe the tons of cg, 3d, etc stuff... things that require huge outlays of time, energy and money and go with something a lot more simple and direct. :) You simply need to do art rather than commercial stuff.

Yeah, the learning curve on a lot of it is pretty high and it does take a lot of time.
