Im having troubles wrapping my head around this.
Why is it for example you can allocate a midi channel from say Kontakt
and it will appeare directy in the mixer noted with the coresponding midi channel.
EG : midi ch 06 from Kontakt, is exaxtly that Midi Ch 6 in the mixer !
It's nice, neat and straight foward..
However, on other occasions, with different VST intrument,you select your midi output, they create a midi channel as per normal, however THIS CHANNEL has has absolutly no control on the corresponding output from the VST ...........
Its output instead appears appears randomly someway down the mixer in the "VST Channels" segment ? .......
What is the purpose of this ? Why can i not control the output in the matching midi channel just like the others ?
What is the idea of "VST channels" on the mixer ?
Midi and Vst instument channels......Cannot grasp. plz help.

umm what mixer? ie what host?
I'm a little confused about what you mean when you say "midi output of an instrument", typically what you are selecting is a midi "in" unless you are running kontakt outside of a host...?

In Cubase SE the VSTi's appear in the mixer in the order they are assigned when I configure my VST Instruments. Since Kontakt, Kompakt, GPO & others create multiple outputs in the Mixer of your Host, they should appear in the order assigned. But, all the Kontakt instruments will appear before any other VSTi's assigned after Kontakt in your host. At least it works that way in Cubase SE.
Of course, you can assign any instrument to any (available) MIDI channel regardless of its position in the Mixer/

So let me see if i have this right finally ! 
The midi ch's on the mixer are basically there for assigning each midi ch and its corresponding VST. *and if wanted to add midi effects e.t.c...........
The audio-channels are where the output of these midi's ch's are being routed, and where the main mixing takes place ?
and although im not new to this, i am however new to Cubase, *as in one week! new. Everyone knows how annoying it can be for someone
not to grasp something that seems second nature to them, but try to tame your urge to maul my arms off.
