are there any good programs from xdas dat i could use to put down ideas on the go

i mean a sequencer of synth - not for recording/sampling

something like fruity loops one or orion for xda

I know xdas use Pocket PC but I'm not sure if it's a special version or anything (obviously needs to handle all the phone malarky...)

If it's compatible with regular Pocket PC apps then there are a few virtual studio affairs out there; Griff Music Studio, PheonixStudio. Both of those are commercial (though not really expensive). If it's free you want then have a trawl through the download.com categories, I think there are a few drum apps out there.

thanx GaryG - i checked out those two and they look good- i just need somethin simple i can use in work to skeetch ideas on -

anywho d xda im getting runs pocket pc software- so i probable should have just said for pocket pc

Try AudioBox from 4Pockets.com. It has a very flexible sequencer and the ability to use multiple synths (classic, additive) plus a sampler and drum machine. All for about $30 US! Exports to midi file also.

The screens are much easier to read than Griff and Phoenix Studio.
