First of all, Manystation is a great product. I really enjoy the sounds and what you can do with it. But I am having a problem with it in Fl studio that I can not figure out. I have read "skimmed" the manual and I have searched this forum with no results. So maybe I am the only one with the problem.

The problem is that Manystation in Fl studio will not always play when I use my coputer keyboard. When I change a preset or adjust a knob I always have to go and klick on the Fl studio "channel settings" box. This really slows me down when I am going through the presets and it makes adjusting knobs almost impossible.

I have Wusikstation v.1, and I have no problems using it.

I am using a laptop with AMD athlon, XP, and 512mb ram.

Any help would be much appreciated. Thanks.

Hi
Okay ... i think i see what you mean. When you change the preset with a controller or midi keyboard the ManyStation loses focus and you have to click the ManyStation channel strip.
Is this what you mean? I get that happenning when the preset shortcut is actually controlling the fruity channel strip no matter what VSTi i use. Not sure if this is what you are getting though, or if this is normal fruity behaviour as i get it with all instruments. Perhaps tell me exactly the procedure you are using to change the preset etc. so i can try and duplicate.

Hey Paul,
Thanks for the quick response.
I will try to explain what I see is happening. And I know it will be like three blind mice describing an elephant. When Manystation is in the Fruity wrapper it will display the preset at the top of the wrapper. When I use the wrapper preset nudge arrows, the preset that shows in the Fruity wrapper changes with the Manystation preset. But if I try to change the preset using the Manystation nudge arrows, only the Manystation preset changes and the Fruity wrapper preset stays on the last preset it was on. Either way, after I make a change of the preset, tuning, pan, or any other parameter, I have to use my mouse to click on the Fl studio channel dialog box (the one with the small keyboard below it when the "plugin" button is pressed) to get the Manystation to work again. By the way, I am not using a midi controler. I am using my mouse and my laptop keyboard. I don't have this problem when I use Wusikstation. But I am using Wusikstation v.1 and I don't know if that has anything to do with it or not.
Sorry to be a bother, but I really can't find what my problem is. I hope this is not some small thing I have neglected to do on my part.
Thanks for your time.

Hy, I'm WilliamK, the support guy for the WusikEngine, which Manystation runs on.

The problem is that when you click on Manystation, it will steal the computer keyboard focus. We don't have a solution for this problem, sorry. Wusikstation V1 uses an old code that didn't had this problem, but also didn't use the computer keyboard. Since V1 was updated, and I guess you don't have the last version, it also has the same code.

Best Regards, WilliamK

Hi WilliamK,

Thanks for the information. That helps me understad what is going on. I have a midi keyboard, but there are times when I don't want to pull it out to make music or new sounds, since I also do work on my laptop and I have limited desk space.

If I upgraded to Wusikstation v.3, is it possible to have both versions in my VST folder and switch back and forth between the two in Fl Studio?

Thanks for your help,
Jonathan

V2 and V3 are not compatible with V1, and we don't give support to run both versions. As all our updates will replace previous software. Sorry.
