can anybody tell me the best vst vocoder and why it is the best?
And how do you use it? Or just tell me the ones that you use

There is no 'best'; its all subjective. Different tools suit different situations.

I use about five or six different vocoders, depending on what I want or what Im doing.

I was trying to find out the answer to that question a while ago and was happy to find that most of them had demos. I would start out with Orange Vocoder and Vokator. I haven't tried that AKAI Vocoder VST because there is no demo. Frankly, the best experience I had was with the EVOC for Logic but that's only on the Mac now, and to be fair I did have more time to spend with it than the others. The one annoying thing about evaluating the NI Vokator demo is the time limit. *Sigh.* Oh well. :) Anyway, I found those 3 to be much better offerings than the MDA or Image-Line ones because it was much easier for me to get vocoding where the voice element was recognizable in the signal. Just my two cents though.

MDA Talkbox. Period. :D

For my vocoding, I think Vokko is very cool, too -- it's basically TWO of the MDA Talkbox vocoders running together so that you have STEREO vocoding. Can import soundfonts, etc. Very very cool, and can make for some really nice, wide, stereo signals in the right situation.

Once you Vokko, you'll never (seldom?) go back.

I like arguru's Voyager, since it is one of the few that is a full-on synthesizer as well.

That said, I rarely use vocoders, just not a big fan of their sound most of the time.

Image Line's CM Vocoder free with Computer music, or if you need more bands, Fruity Vocoder in the Juice Pack gives you 128.

The Fruity Vocoder is pretty smoot hwhen you're using 128 bands. I'm not a big vocoder guy but I think it's the best one I've used with exception of Vokator, but Vokator is beyond a vocoder.

If the mdaVocoder didn't forget it's parameters and forget to vocode sometimes, it would be nice. mdaTalkbox is not exactly the same as a vocoder, I think, but it is the most intelligible robo-voice thingy, you can clearly hear what is being said. It is my go-to box for robot voice shenanigans. Voyager is the best actual vocoder, but is somewhat limited because it is hardwired to have the synth act as the carrier.

Native instruments Vokator i used it on This track

Why did no one mention SugarBytes Robotronic? Vokator is the most versatile, but it's more than a vocoder. Robotronic does a fantastic job imo. I only played with the demo; it impressed me.

How long is a piece of string ?

You might be best advised to post this type of "best of" question in the "Getting started" topic.
