And what should I say....
This thing is a absolute Lexicon/TC killer.
I don't know how these guys did it at Behringer but this BOX DOES DEFINITLY ROCK THE SHIT OUT OF MY SPEAKERS!
Its on par with every convolution reverb plug-in plus you can change the sound dramatically to what you need.
I did some comparison with Lexicon 960L,480L and TC M5000 impulses and the Behringer toy can sound like any of these impulses running through convolution plug-in.
Plus: I think it also too sounds better than the convolution plug-ins at the higher freqency range...more airy....
and it fits better into mixes, because it sounds more realistic and 3D than convolution, and doesnt get too much muddy in base department....
that may be due to the quality loss during sampling the impulses...
And the price is a joke....for 130€ you may get the two optical connectors for a Lexicon 960L. (or a used MPX100, which I once had-> this wonderful peace of fluttering shit)
And I wasn't too far away from buying the IK CSR-1 reverb.
Thankfully I didn't do that and saved some money.
Def. the best thing I bought the last years.....
This thing is an absolut state of the art studio tool....
I will not say that this unit sounds better than a real TC M5000 or a Lexicon 960L or 480, because I do not own one.
But: The sound is on par or better than any impulses sampled from these units (at least the hundrets I got)
I'm sure the real units do not sound too much better, so the V-Verb will be on par with them...
I have to say I am a reverb maniac, and I did compare more reverb plug-ins over the last years than making music.
This now will have an end.
I would recoomend this unit for everyone how needs a really high-higher quality reverb unit.
I even highly recommend this unit for post production which needs the very best quality to create realistic sound quality.
i'll post some demo sounds soon here, to make you believe.
