No trance/acid
No doom//death
etc.
Happy Hardcore = Trance = Acid !!! Same damned thing. C + C Music Factory without the production chops.
IDM is pretty freakin' close, too, so no.
Emo is definitely a different genre than death, so that's ok,
but emo and trance are outlawed by the Geneva Convention as torture anyways so I'd be careful there. Don't want to Slobodan your track from the get-go.
Seriously, if from the deepest recesses of your heart all your imagination can come up with is this embarassing poverty of creativity that is emo and trance, this laying-bare of the honest admission that all you can do is copy the trend you imprinted upon in high school and change it just a little so that you can carefully maintain cred in your scene, shouldn't you just step aside so that people that are actually passionate about music instead of just posing can do their thing without you dumbing down the entire artform? You don't see any freakin' obese people trying to be trapese artists, you don't see blind people painting. Get some f**king dignity and get over yourselves. You don't see any freakin' obese people trying to be trapese artists, you don't see blind people painting.

Only inasmuch as the blending-of-genres goes.arnethorvald wrote:IDM pretty freakin' close to trance? You must be joking.
Grunge rock and hair metal are very different animals but it's be completely pointless to hybridize them.

Hm, reminds me of a movie: "We do both country and western"Col.G wrote:Does this mean I can combine Country and Rock, and make Country Rock music?
Seriously, since a lot of things have already be done it's not that easy to come up with sth. original. I am leaning towards a crossover between german "Heimatmusik" and Industrial Goth Rock currently
