I'm looking for a good multiband compressor for my final mixes. Can you suggest me some free/pay-ware to try?

As for pay-ware i think Soniformer by voxengo's is the best.After that i like wave arts multidynamics 5.Just my personal opinion.

Digitalfishphones Endorphin (free). When two bands are enough it is quite nice. PSP Vintage Warmer also has two bands but I use it mostly for colouring purposes (great on drums).

For a different flavour... Voxengo's Soniformer. Not the simplest to use, but invaluable sometimes. Worth a try IMO.

I'll second G-Multi for a free solution, and also second Sonitus as an inexpensive commercial, both are excellent, and have different sounds.

Aaron Carey / Pipelineaudio made two tutorials vids on what could easily be the most exciting & versatile compressor that's available for free right now: ReaComp. However, it's the native compressor built by Justin Frankel that's part of REAPER. So you need to work in REAPER to use it, which would be a good idea anyway. It's not multiband, but it's super.
