There are 3 kinds of people:
Those who can do maths and those who can't.

Hilareous clip from Amazon Women on the Moon. Features David Alan Grier as Don "No Soul" Simmons and B.B. King as himself advertising for "Blacks Without Soul"

It's exactly the same in this way: If you disapprove, don't do it.Cryogenic wrote:So, how it this different from downloading mp3's and warez?

I don't. It's just the annoying double standards here.Hovmod wrote:It's exactly the same in this way: If you disapprove, don't do it.Cryogenic wrote:So, how it this different from downloading mp3's and warez?

You mean downloading videos? Well, if the videos are being distributed without the permission of the copyright owners, it's the same as illegal distribution of mp3's. It's not the same as warez unless you're talking about illegal distriubtion/use of the software used to make the videos.Cryogenic wrote:So, how it this different from downloading mp3's and warez?
It's against the policy of youtube to upload video that you don't have the right to distribute and I've seen a lot of them taken down because of that. But a lot of their content is obviously not copyright protected, or is just like mp3's found in the KVR Cafe (produced by the people uploading them).
So a blanket "this is a double standard" isn't very fair. Also...does youtube give you the ability to download/save/redistribute videos? I've only viewed them streaming and haven't tried saving any of them.

,,, saw AC/DC at an openair concert in Victoria Park (Sydney) in about 1976, when I was 14. I smoked a whole packet of cigarettes, drank a bottle of whiskey and threw up everywhere. I think this put me off rock and roll, now I listen to funky hiphop instead lolChuck E. Jesus wrote:well, if you don't like this, you don't like rock n' roll
actually saw it when it aired as a highschool teen...put "Midnight Special" in the YT search function, there are a few goodies...
