alright...I've been sitting on the sidelines for too long and I owe it to Paul to purchase his products (eventhough he has no idea! ). I have Dimension Pro, but my inner demons keep pulling me back here esp. with the 50% GroupBuy on all 3!!! :x

OK, so I have a few questions before I decide to finally give in (if you don't mind me asking!):

1) So I assume soundsets for Wusik/ManyStation are really synonymous with each other, right?
Meaning...if I have MS and and want the Famous Keys soundsets...can I run them in ManyStation? I noticed on the Wusik site that they also offer to purchase SoundSets only, so I'm thinking...OK, if I want one of those extra soundsets, then why buy the whole Wusik if I already have v2 from ManyStation...?? Just want to make sure I understand this correctly...

2) Paul...do you have any plans for an ETHNIC/WORLD soundset? (since you've already done a sitar!)
I'm about to spend $500 on Quantum Leap RA, but if you're coming out with something similar....I'll surely back off on this deal. I think BITR has "Ethnotronics" or something like that, but there's hardly any info on it and they're not saying much (and I can't wait). Ethnic stuff is HOT on my list and there's not much out there that is of really good quality apparently other than RA.

3) With the advent of ManyGuitar & ManyOne...are you going to produce any "expansion" sets for all 3 of your products?
As in another thread, it IS a bit confusing since MS, MG, UBK and now MO seem to overlap a bit and for me doing my "homework" on all this....it IS a bit confusing on how each one fits in the whole picture. I can just imagine I'll be darned confused what to pull up if I need a bass!

4) Do you have any plans on hooking up with Extreme Sample Converter? :)
If I get your stuff, I may want to convert it for use in Dimension Pro (maybe!), so I definitely could use something like that. William has some kind of an 50% discount agreement with them until the end of the month, but I thought it would be good for ESC as well to get some customers via your GroupBuy as well.

5) Speaking of formats...do you intend to stick with the WusikSnd/Dash formats?
I see you have UBK in SoundFont format, so since I'm a Dimension Pro fan, was wondering if you have plans to offer any or all your products in Rene's SFZ (simple) format. Personally...I rather just have 1 interface for all my sample needs, but maybe I'm dreaming. I'm also in the same boat with the QLRA stuff, but again...the need for ESC comes in as well :)

Thanks and keep up the good work, Paul. I have read NOTHING BAD about ManyTone and that says ALOT.

Hi
Thanks for the kind words!

I'll try my best to answer all your questions.

1) Other soundsets from any other WusikEngine developer that makes sounds for Version 1 or 2 will also load into your ManyStation. So you are good there.

2) Ethnic Soundsets - No Plans for a library at the moment but we are always sampling new things and like the new Sitar we will release smaller inexpensive instruments and packs. Just depends what we come across in our travels. We do have some digeridoo coming soon.

3) The products do not really overlap. ManyGuitar does contain some samples that are in ManyStation but that is the only overlap. But it has a whack of New guitars and Basses that are not in ManyStation (ManyStation has a bunch of Synths etc that are not in ManyGuitar). Even then ...The sounds are completely different in both Products. You have to hear to see what i mean but for example .,..ManyGuitar has the amp sim but ManyStation allows use of Layers etc. that makes for very interesting sounds. UBK is a completely separate product that will load into any of our VSTi. Again it is very different to use in both ManyStation and ManyGuitar so the possibilities are endless.... Yes it will be hard for you to choose which instrument to use. ;-) The upcoming ManyOne will feature some great Hardware synth samples in an inexpensive Low CPU VSTi.

4) I'll talk to ESC again and see about offering this special on ESC to our customers. We were going to do it but had trouble with the auth system. I'll see again about it.

5) We will offer other formats for some soundsets. Not sure what formats yet but we are planning on plenty more. Really though we find our instruments are a great sample playback engine as the cpu usage is so low you will be amazed. ManyGuitar with the full amp sim and all FX on barely touches your cpu.

Thanks for the Questions!
Look forward to seeing you onboard!

Yes, the soundsets are completely compatible as far as I know. I have been able to run soundsets from either of them without any problems. As far as the presets being compatible, I'll have to get back to you on that one. I have run presets from the Wusik Sound Magazine in ManyStation, and they seem to work fine...

Personally, I would LOVE to do an ethnic/world soundset! I just have to get better at playing the Erhu... but I have resources available concerning Indian instruments. (tamboura, tablas, etc.)

I think of the "ManyMores" as expansion sets. Right now the only ManyMore is the UBK, but I'm certain there'll be more to come. Also there is the upcoming FreeZone, which will have free soundsets and other resources for ManyTone customers.

I hope not considering I just bought it today when I noticed they finally made it available for purchase again. ;)

Just kidding, I'm not sure, wait until Paul answers this.

EDIT: Looks like Paul was faster at replying than I was... :)

holymoly,
remember that the Group Buy expires on Monday at end of the day.

And if the numbers get to 200, Paul will add in a bonus Sitar soundset

So place your order soon.

Everyone's getting antsy about the GB deadline. :)

Definitely for good reason, though...

Paul/Greg - I want to thank you guys again for answering all my questions. I was glad to see the GroupBuy still on and in fact after agonizing it over the last few days as to whether I REALLY need it or not, I went ahead and just ordered your TRIPLE DELUXE PACKAGE (ManyStation + ManyGuitar + UBK)!

I also want to say that since I have Cakewalk Dimension Pro...I was really already set as far as sampling stuff is concerned (8GB in DPro and I do not own nor am I really interested in moving to Wusikstation stuff), but I visit here alot and I've always REALLY dug the way you guys conduct your business and the communication/relationship you have with your customers + just as important - you seem to take the quality of products you make/offer *very seriously* and you don't settle for less. What more can we ask...???

So with that said...you've got another loyal customer onboard and I look forward to whatever you guys have to offer from now on. Kudos to you guys...keep up the awesome job!

All The Best fellas...

P.S.:
Any news on a possible ESC cross-deal as well? When considering to export your libraries to other formats, PLEASE seriously consider the Cakewalk/Rene SFZ format as Dimension Pro is a helluva sampler synth and one that is slowly gaining ground (I love it).

[EDIT] - And BTW! Frank @ Prosounds posted at the Cakewalk forums that he now (finally) has Dimension Pro in-hand, so he'll surely be a big help on presets as well!

And oh hey, Greg...yeah, I could totally see you guys putting out a kick-ass Ethnic Libary! Just make sure you include Irish/Scottish bagpipes as unless you own Quantum Leap RA (yes, I was interested in it as well, but finally concluded it was over-the-top expensive for what I'd use it for). There's nothing out there to my knowledge that really nails those pipes and I'm dying for some good bagpipes. (look forward to the Sitar as well!)

Yeah, I've heard about the lack of good bagpipes soundsets. It'd be cool to sample some, sampling the drones, etc. We'll see...

Thanks again for the kind words.

I will drop Wlodzimierz a mail at ESC now and see what i can do about this special offer being made available to our customers. It may not be able to be done automatically but maybe we can arrange something that will work.
Take care and we'll talk soon.

Thanks for the heads up, Paul.

Just to let you know as well that now that I've had a chance to play a little around with ManyStation/ManyGuitar...I'm REALLY happy I picked them up as there's ALOT of usable sounds/presets and I'm already having a joy playing them; so thumbs up for the preset guys! Like I read somewhere in one of your own posts....I now have a real, easy to use Bass/Guitar module that I can lay ideas with and later learn/record the real instruments (I have too many guitars already). In fact, I would go to the extent to say that the presets that come with ManyStation are even more usable than the ones that come with Dimension Pro!

Unfortunately, I'm not one to have the patience in creating a bunch of (new) presets, but rather just jump in and start writing music, but the little bit of time that I've had to mess around with these, I am so glad I did it and I can't wait to see what you'll be putting out in the future. Yep...love vintage keys as well, so am looking forward to see how ManyOne turns out!

I must also say that your manuals are very well-written and nice to read as well, Paul. So kudos to Mr. Cann...he did a wonderful job.

All the best...

hey Paul...just checking if you had any chance to make any contact/headway with Wlodzimierz. Noticed he just updated the news on his site that he took a little hiatus and now is back to updating ESC again.

so hey...you've been pretty quiet these days - any current updates on ManyOne (or anything else you're working on?)

thanks...

Hi Holymoly

Trying to get all the various projects and more rapped up here.
It has been a busy summer outside of the office, so yeah i was a bit quiet. Ready to release some things pretty quick though if all goes as planned.
Take care and keep your ears up ;-)
