It needs mono mode, legato pitch sliding, and Pulse Width Modulation with a step sequencer to rapidly switch between 12.5% 25% and 50% width. Then we need a pitch LFO DADSR (Delay, Attack, Decay, Sustain, Release). It also really helps if there's a way to retrigger the note instead of one sustained loop.
Aditionally, you might as well drop all the oscs except one, and have it switchable from square, triangle, and noise and then let the user load multiple instances to get access to each one individually. That's what I'd do anyways.

Just to set the record straight, Triforce was not meant to be a full featured synth. It was intended to be a low-cpu usage clone of the core of the 2A03 APU. I spent virtually all of the dev time on emulating the band-limiting synthesis technique used in many NES emulators (http://www.slack.net/~ant/bl-synth/).
Also, Peach & Toad are intended to be laughable, fun, and simple. They're romplers, and haven't ever pretended to be anything but.
nice work jack
