Hey all

I was testing out the demo of GAC1 and it really blew me away. Mostly the EQ. I'm no expert but it really make every single change in the spectrum sound exactly like I want it, unlike any other EQ ive ever used... It feels like I own a "PRO" setup now, call me crazy...

Now I bought it, and wondering if now owning voxformer and glisseq is kind of "redundant".... what would your opinions be? I definately am going to use GAC on every track I can... So why would I need voxformer or gliss anymore? (a huge part of me wants to keep these, but I'm thinking will I ever use them, and if so, why would I use them over gac?!)

Please give me insight!

Get to know GAC in depth. If find yourself not using voxformer and gliss after a few month you can still sell them. ( I do not own GAC but the Kjaerhus products I own are excellent! )

GAC-1 is the greatest swiss knife around for those seemingly impossible macgyver mixdown sculpting tasks. I don't tend to use it much as it's a bit overkill and as there are individual plugins doing the same thing with equal quality. Still it has saved the day more times than I can remember. and hey, there's no beating it for mid-side compression flexibility. I don't think there are any equal plugins for that task.

I own the GCO1 and GEQ7, not the GAC I'm afraid, but I have demoed it thouroughly.

I still think that your voxengo plugins have their place. A few notes...

- I feel that the de-esser in voxformer is a lot better than the one in GAC
- The presence in Voxformer is extremely useful and will take a lot more work to produce in the GAC
- No saturation in GAC for vocals
- GlissEQ will sometimes be more appropriate to use than the GAC1 due to its dynamic beahviour, you'll find that when putting the GlissEQ over harsh sounding instruments, you get less harsh sounding results due to the dynamic behaviour.

Kjaerhus & Voxengo are indeed the best plugins out there, they are both completely different in design and sound which makes them a great match

You'll still need to buy GEQ RonC. GAC won't be enough, in the long term

. And maybe you'll need GCO as well, depending on where you stand currently, compressor-wise.

Yep, the GEQ has great low cut and high cut filters that the GAC doesn't, but the GAC has better shelving filters ...

I own GAC1 and voxformer. IMHO, they are both useful. The Kjaerhus has more of a smooth sound to it while voxformer is capable of some more extreme mangling. That said, I use them for different things and find them both very useful. I use them in just about every project.

i think for the time being im going to keep both

btw i dont think ill ever need to get any more this is far enough haha

i really like the eq in gac1, i think it'll have to do for now. It's great!

I also actually like the de-esser on gac more than on voxformer... i dunno we'll see what happens

Just bought GAC...
