Wchich hosts work like Logic in terms of CPU/memory usage?

I was told that Logic has this interesting feature where there is no CPU/memory usage by VSTi plugs if there is no midi signal being sent to them. Is this true? Also, what other hosts have this feature?

I'm pretty sure Samplitde works this way. Also, I believe Reaper does. (I could be mistaken about Reaper)

Well memory will be used, because the plugs are instantiated, but yes, in PC Logic, if they are on a non-selected track, then they consume no CPU until they need to produce audio (ie, notes start being sent to them).
It's a good CPU saver, and let's you run more than you normally would, if everything is not active at the same time. This is also true for FX plugins as well.
This behaviour in recent Mac versions has changed a little (instruments are always in live mode, as everyone wanted to use the environment to route to multiple softsynths on different tracks) but you can always freeze to reduce CPU anyway.
