Hi/
Thank You FrettedSynth and Grymmjack!
Great, great work.
I love this plugin.
I think i found a two bugs:
In the compression pedal - meter's switches should be inverted.
"Output" shows reduction, and "Reduction" shows output level.
It's possible to turn main meters off with the button. It affects lamps too, but probably in the invert way.
When it's ON meters are active and lamps glow constantly (controlled by Variac knob), when it's OFF meters are inactive and lamps light changes dynamically.
Should it works this way?
I would like to ask about a Guitsynth feature:
It's placed almost at the end of the chain.
In my opinion it should be placed before post compressor, because it can be very helpfull for resonant patches.
And I would love to have a few routing possibilities for it.
At least 3: after pre-comp, after overdrive and before post-comp.
Is it possible?
Cheers.

Tubes work as they should! a constant set by the Variac knob controls them when the main meters are on, the output level controls them with the main meters off.
Will move the synth to be before the post compressor
For the routing question yeh! I think I can pull some of that off? Most likely won't come till a later version though, I would also like to make seperate mono and stereo versions of most of the FX! So when switched pre (before the amp) it uses the mono version, and when switched post (past the amp) it uses the stereo version. Again work for an update to v2.0
For the synth many many new things will come (step sequenced modulation, lots of different filters and an octaver) are just a few
Peace

this guy is singlehandedly destroying my deeply entrenched cynicism for the human race! But I did not want to keep you waiting for months for this to come.
Thanks FrettedSynth for this beauty of a plug!
Thanks grymmjack for the lovely skin!

Can't say I do not think that way myself
Lots of good out there in the human race, sometimes the BS catches your attention more?

I have all kinds of silly things planned will try to workout all in one plugin, but if in SE this becomes a problem because of size I can always make different Versions of FreeAmp?

Very good news.
If I can add some wishes to the list:
I would like to have a biger delay range for Flanger FX so It can be used as a second Chorus.
In synth section an option to tune filters and ringmodulator to a note or/and a
resochord effect (based on a tuned combfilters)
...well thats just a wishes
Different versions sound cool.
I'm quite familiar with SE, I know what u mean.
Again - I love Freeamp2
Cheers/

koolkeys wrote:When you don't load the synth from a patch, but rather from scratch, you have to do two things:
1. Turn the synth on. There is a switch right under the words "Audio Triggered Synth" that is on the left side.
2. You have to turn up the decay or sustain on an envelope. From scratch, it leaves everything at zero. But you have to change that. Start with the amplifier, which is right to the LEFT of the large Mix knob on the right side of the synth.
Then you should start hearing sound. But you have to tell the envelope how much you want to hear of each part.
I hope this helps.

Just so this doesn' get buried too deeply...koolkeys wrote:By the way, your base sound will be whatever you have the amp settings on. So you can start with any amp preset you want, then adjust the synth.
And thanks, this thing really does rock.

whoa, you're adding an octaver? that's going to eat muchos cpu no? i love that effect though!
separate plugs are fine, for me. i'd love the stereo effects

Think I might be able to pull off the octaver without too much CPU use ?
And thanks to whoever said that the preset --- Drive --- sounds better

Again, FreeAmp2 is great, and I could happily use it just as it is indefinately - but I do think a couple of earlier suggestions would improve it some.
I think grymmjack proposed a brickwall limiter at the end of the chain. I use W1 right now, and that is fine, but having it built in would make FA that much more complete.
Secondly, some kind of readout for parameter values, especially for tweaky things like the compressors, would be nice. Something like the flyouts on Synth1 would be really cool, but it could be as simple as some markers for the knobs.
And then a suggestion for a less utilitarian update for the future - a control to blend a clean signal back with the distorted signal within the Overdrive stomp box - like the Voodoo Lab Sparkle Drive. Even better would be two parallel Overdrive stomps, but I guess room doesn't really allow for that. I'm not sure how many people would use such a feature, but I've always either used a clean amp and a dirty amp in parallel, or something like the Sparkle Drive.
And really, thanks again FrettedSynth and grymmjack!!! This thing kills $400 amp sims DEAD!!!
