hi...just bought sytrus last night and i'm having some CPU spiking problems even generating a single note on a 2 oscillator patch with no effects, unison or oversampling enabled (and my audio buffer at 2048 samples). normally i'd just think the patch had too much going on, but other resource-heavy plugins like zeta run just fine for me (even on 6 osc patches with oversampling enabled).

it looks like its something to do with the envelopes, since the spiking only occurs on note on / note off. i can play a 7 note chord and the output will only stutters when i press the keys and release them - during the time i'm holding the chord theres no problems at all.

can anyone shed some light on this?

great sounding plugin by the way - first thing since reaktor and zeta i've really taken a shining to, minus the envelope hiccups.

It's possible that the envelopes are too long, which would mean that notes aren't released quickly. So you get a lot of notes playing at the same time, resulting in high cpu load.

Sytrus sounds gorgeous. You can listen to the audio demos at www.sytrus.com

The great thing is it's flexibility. It's only CPU intensive for Unision/High Polyphony presets with long envelope release times. Otherwise, it's very light on CPU. Enough to be used frequently in some of the FL demo songs where it appears quite a lot.
