Can Sytrus accept soundfonts or wavs? I thought it was FM synthesis only (I have that one, too. Face it, I have almost all of the synths around here)?

Can't say too much now as to exact content as we haven't started designing yet...but I CAN say that it'll be 128 brand-spankin new presets for the ImageLine Sytrus VSTI, authored by Marc, Tim, and Myself...I'm still deciding on price (won't be final until everything's packed and ready to go), but since there I have a price cap on T3 sound-sets, it definitely won't cost any less than $20.00 USD...and we're aiming for a mid-very late July release, though that is more speculation at the moment too. Definitely a summer release though!
Enough about that though, don't wanna hijack tim's thread.
@Mike: That sounds excellent! Honsetly, I'd love to hear more vocal sets for M42...Zvon's Julie soundset is just beautiful, especially when used in conjunction with M42...so any other vocal sounds would be perfect...maybe even some gothic choir type sounds
Peace

I don't think Sytrus accepts waves or soundfonts. Just FM/subtractive if I remember correctly. Tim would know better than I would though.Karmacomposer wrote:Can Sytrus accept soundfonts or wavs? That's what I thought. Sytrus 2 seems to only have programmability for FM - I never saw any import or load capability.
Thanks for the kind words ToTc - I plan on making some really cool stuff for M42.

That sounds great Mike. Its the Sf2 standard, but as I said..its 4 banks with 5 samples each bank, so only 20 samples are avalable at a time. But the samples are really only starting points, as M42 is not a romplar. Its how you minipulate the sounds within the m42 engine that can create surprising results.Karmacomposer wrote:

We could possably add to our sound page 3rd party addons with links.

I don't know for sure, but I don't see why you couldn't load a soundfont in the demo.supersub wrote:Is soundfont loading only in the full version or can you do it in the demo ?
thanks

I don't have the demo installed...but, in the full version, you click on the system button on the bottom left panel...there should be a soundfont loading window a click or so in.supersub wrote:Actually, what I meant to say was, how do you load a soundfont in the demo ?
thanks again

sytrus allows for resynthesis of single cycle wav files (and additive harmonic editing), but it does not support normal sample loading. (as far as i know.)TotcProductions wrote:I don't think Sytrus accepts waves or soundfonts. Just FM/subtractive if I remember correctly.

To me, Sytrus has one of the best sounds out of all VSTi available. Top quality stuff.
Mind you, I like M42 too !
