Never heard a better osc/filt than Asynth, Why no more dev?

As for me, I'd be satisfied with a legato mode -- or change the mono mode to include legato. It's a great-sounding synth, would be excellent for leads if it had a legato mode. Nice companion to Taurus. And, yes, I've donated for Asynth.

hello. is there any chance the Taurus and/or Asynth filters could be made into a VST effect? I would love to be able to filter audio input with the Asynth filters.

Asynth filters were used in Basement Arts' Frantic Filter. On sale for 99.95 € until the end of January.reprznt wrote:hello. is there any chance the Taurus and/or Asynth filters could be made into a VST effect? I would love to be able to filter audio input with the Asynth filters.

There is. It stops working after 3 minutes, so you have to close and reopen it all the time, which can be tedious, but you do still have opportunity to get a sense of how it works.

I just started playing with asynth and have to agree it is a corker. I'm trying
to push it towards ms-20 type sounds and it is definitely capable of going there.
So anything that takes i closer would be good!
FWIW, I don't usually use VSTi onboard fx....

I really love this synth as well. I'm so glad to hear there is more to come.

it's a great synth, i just wish it was stereo, so i could use stereo effects in cubase on it without having to route it to a group first. but yeah, i'll pay for Asynth 2 if it's anything like the first. Yeah, extra effects aren't necessary, but a nice smooth analogue-style drive would be nice.

I would agree with that, and add to that:kybernaut wrote:As for me, I would like:
- mono, poly, legato modes etc.
- basic mod matrix
- crossmodulation
- sync
- different oscillator models (maybe those from the synths the filters were taken from?)
- improvements on the filter models (where they are due)
- general "rounder" bottom end sound
- more clipping / saturation / distortion options
- Unison with Stereo output.
I think FX are nice, but not necessary. I'd rather have a version of it without FX sooner, than have it with FX. Then possibly add FX in a later version.

it really is the best sounding synth out there. i only use that and xhip.
anyway, i posted before about a year ago on this thread, but i dont care... i'll repeat myself: to me, the most important things to add to Asynth would be velocity sensitivity for amplitude and filter, legato, unison.
i read the previous arguments about adding effects to Asynth, I would say my views are right in the middle. My view is that effects would be great if they are unique to the overall Asynth sound. it's hard to explain. i guess a good example is the chorus on the Roland Juno 6. to me it's not just any chorus sound, when you hear it you know it's the Juno chorus sound; it complements the synth and it's part of it. anyway, in that sense, effects that become integral to Asynth would be awesome, but not necesary if it will sound like i just threw in a Classic Chorus plugin
but we can all trust in Antti to WOW us with his creations!

by the way, i invite everyone to run Asynth through an tube preamp...
...or an analog effect unit, without the effect, or 'dry'
