I second Granulab -- I bought it years ago and still use it frequently.

Another well kept-secret is Density. It lets you use Csound's advanced granulation features with a GUI.

Grainmill is an excellent offline granulator also, if a little idiosyncratic. I've still found nothing which can generate such dense grain clouds.

I find Audiomulch's Bubbleblower does a fine job for dense clouds. One thing with Grainmill, I always have to mix down files to mono to use it (where most files I have about about tend to be stereo), which irritates me after a while.

Ahh. I hadn't encountered this problem as I've only used my own (mono) recordings in it so far.

Incidentally, you've touched on one of my most longed for missing features among granulators. True stereo granulation. Almost all granulators I've encountered mix the signal to mono at the input and then scatter that around.

True, and frustrating at times. There are workarounds, but still...

I knew you'd done some buffer/stutter/reorder type stuff but wasn't aware of any granular stuff. Do you mean Sandh?
