12% seems acceptable to me. People seem obsessed with using as little cpu as possible, I mean whats the point in having as much processing power as you can afford if you refuse to use as much of it as poss

Why would you think this has anything to do with refusing to use the power? Try using a few instances of Rhino, Reaktor, Blue and any decent SynthEdit product in a song. Then you might be fussing about loosing 12% to a controller.

If you pay good money for computing power why would you not be upset if you cannot use it all because a controller is sucking up 12% of the power?

Just as an added bump on the positive side for Kore, I am now using it with my regular HP Pentium M laptop and it works well there too. I use it there with the Kore Audio Interface and it works with a nice low latency and sounds very nice. Just my $.02.
