Thats a toughy I am not kidding when I say FreeAmp was not designed to emulate anything but thirty years of hearing great guitar tones while playing bass.
Could be some fun though to try to figure out which of the dudes I jammed with in the past, and which rigs stuck in my head so much

I wouldn't necessarily say you need to equate your sim to actual amp sounds, but instead just say "this is a warm amp designed for hi gain" or "this is a bright amp for lower distortion settings" etc.

And doing the same for the various cabinet models would be nice, so that we can more quickly figure out how you designed each to sound.

Now that I think about it, that was actually something I really had trouble with in 1.0/1.5: discerning what the key tonal strengths of the various speakers were other than from what I know about 2x12/4x12 cabs.

Me too! like to keep it light hearted though

I do have to say that through all the plugins that I have made presets were always the thorn in the side to me Sound designers out there you have a great respect from me In the 80's I used to think, damn that dude make big bucks to sit and design presets! Now that I have done a thousand or so for my plugins, I say damn they sure deserve it

That is some mediocre synth knocked my socks off, spent an evening with my twelve year old daughter making some bizare presets. Was amazed when she looked at me and said "Dad that sounds just like in the movies, Thats how they do it" Big fun Oatmeal is, BTW she laughed when I told her the name, She smiled and said he even made it oatmeal color.

Yes i play guitar.

but any sound i got out of it was crap.

so im asking if anyone else got a decent sound out of it to show me -- as perhaps i dont know how to properly program the thing... funny, cause PODXT and even guitar rig seem to give me great sounds much faster than this thing.... but hey, if you need something free...


i just wouldnt go around calling it an amplitube 2 killer just yet.
