It's really frustrating.

Why wont it come to pc. I dont think we'll ever see it on a pc again.

My pc version (the first update with the new colored interface) wont work with my firebox drivers......terrible..

im not gonna buy an apple just to use this program

I assume you are aware Apple bought Logic just to force you to buy a Mac.

I agree with you on this. That said, I'm in need of a new computer, so I'm going to be buying a MacBook Pro in a month or two. I've become so used to Logic that I don't want to switch to any other sequencer. Now that I know I'm going to be getting a Mac though, I might as well take advantage of other Mac only programs that I've been wanting to use, such as Metasynth.

Buy a Mac Mini to run the host, then use Wormhole or something to use all your PC plugs on your PC.

I'm getting sorely tempted to go the other way: get a Mac Mini to run Windows for the Win-only plugs. But still running Logic as host on my Mac, of course.

A MacBook is sufficient enough...just remember to put enough RAM into it.

And don't forget...the MAC now runs XP as well!

Personally...I'd buy an iMAC instead...more harddrive space and much bigger screen...the down side is...it's not portable.

Buy a MacBook and an iMAC...instead of the 17" MacBook Pro that you're thinking of getting (just guessing, btw). You'll be ahead of the game. Then again, you might have money to burn....

wormhole only sends audio.......what would be the point in rewiring a pc this way..i dont get it....if i can only send audio i would still have to use another host to sequence my plugs

how about.. they wanted a pro audio app and it's easier to buy one than to develope one from scratch? do you really think adding the logic user base to their sales number is going to make a big difference?

In fact, I'm sure it has. It cemented their hold in the pro audio workstation market. While small, it is still a very lucrative market. It's also generally viewed as a given in the industry that Apple's software strategy exists to bolster their hardware sales. ITunes sells iPods, not the other way around.

How good/bad are the Mac Minis, and how well would they work for music/audio things?

Mac users already had access to that good DAW before Apple bought it.

Apple bought Logic because they know what they are doing in business.

Nope. Digital Performer, Vision... they're no good, that's why so many people use them.
