We had a really good thread about this over a year ago. If you are good at searching KVR you will find it - it might've had R2D2 in the title?

Oh and I do remember Invader being great for this task. Almost any synth with a random or sample/hold LFO will get close to this sound.

I already tried Invader and these sounds are super!
Almost all kinds of electronic sounds can be made with this one. And Mr. Tunes, with your search help I was also able to download some StarWars sample packs...

get a sine wave wav and pitch it like a couple octaves, that is what blips and bloops are at the core anyway!
