What is a great program for drum loops/editing etc...simple, but extensive I guess...

Is FXpansion GURU any good? Looks awesome.

Will Ableton do the trick?

Post

'ACID' might be your best bet, if you want simplicity. Even an older version (if you can find one cheap) will probably give you what you need. No sense spending a bunch of money, if you simply want to mangle or edit loops.

Thanks man...I want to make some pretty rad glitches here and there although, I'm just going to sample them and put them through my sequencer (ableton)...maybe acid might be my best bet!

Does it come with some decent effects? HA, its too bad they dont make cooledit for OS X

I'd believe your best bet for sampling beats is the low priced version of fruity loops with it's cool stepsequencer and really good native effects and plugins like the beat slicer, wavetraveler and scratcher. it also has an integrated wave editor, but i dont know if its included in the $49 version.

Actually...I was using FL4 for at least a couple years, I kinda wanted to move up a notch when it came to the sample/wav/beat editing and what not.

I guess ACID is NOT for OS X. Lames.

Does GURU even let you stretch and mess around with Wav's?

Post

I'm sorry fella's...I should have mentioned this in the subject...but i'm looking for OS X Software. Thanks for your help though...

Any other suggestions OS X friendly??

Post

haha, jesus, FL6 is soooo much more advanced than the older FL4 I was using on my old PC.
