Just read a rumour that Richard James makes mention of Liveslice in an interview in the latest UK edition of Future Music (FM177). I haven't seen the interview, but if so, that's great news. Hope it drums up a good chunk of business for you, Jacob.

I'm not sure how he compares them, but in my head, the two apps have always occupied a similar space. So I can understand that the comparison might be made.
I've been running the Lite version of Live for a few months now, and the whole DAW side of it (Cubase-like multi-track midi/audio sequencer) is of absolutely no interest to me (I'm sure it is to lots of people, just not me).
I had always hoped Live would be designed more like an instrument and less like a sequencer. It kind of was when it first came out, but I guess the massive app market is more lucrative, so that's where they took it. But I had hoped it would be like a blend between Audiomulch and Liveslice, before I knew what Liveslice would be of course. Which, now that I have Liveslice running in Audiomulch, Live is of less interest to me.
Liveslice is the live arrangement tool I've always wanted: easy to use, versatile, lightweight. It isn't filled with layers of complexity to round out its DAWness, and lets you move large and small bits of audio around with impunity. I use it more like a phrase arranger than a simple beatslicer. It gets used in almost every project I do these days (although that strange file-save bug I'm getting lately with it in Mulch is killing me a bit).

I really should have emailed the first time, shouldn't I?
Started this thread about it. I've emailed Ross about it, too, in case it turns out to be an Audiomulch problem.
