Cubase latency-like problem

Hi.

I've started getting a problem that is either not unlike latency, or the complete reverse of it.

When I record a midi track, it sounds OK in real time, but when I play it back, there are a couple of milliseconds' delay. When I open up the editor, the notes are in the wrong place, and I have to manually move them forward. This is not ideal, and makes any cycle recording impossible.

Does anyone have any ideas what I've done wrong, as the problem has only arisen recently?

I thought I'd give this a little bump, seeing as there have been no responses. I'm sure it must be something pretty simple and straightforward!

Try this:

- Open up Devices, and under "MIDI" click on the subcategory "Windows MIDI".
- Click "Use System Timestamp"

also if you are using the directmidi drivers try windows midi instead. or vice versa. this sort of thing comes up often, check out the cubase.net forums for lots of discussion on this topic.

Thanks for your help. "Use system timestamp" did the trick.
