Trying to hit the books. Getting close to my proposal and oral exams. Most of my classwork is done. Hopefully not too long now. I am glad all is going well! Hope you are having fun with 6. Know you can't talk about it.
Hopefully the rest of us won't have to wait too long.

Importing Avis/QTs isn't so yawn for many other people though. Live in its nature is perfect for film when things get changed so often and you have to stretch things to make it all in sync. Prior to Live 6 you would've needed another host to call Ableton "complete" if you liked doing projects for Film and TV. Will be a nice addition for many.soma wrote:Movie is cool but I guess, but I'm waiting to see how it works. If it allows you to play movie clips then, Yahoo!, but if it just has import an avi and sync music to it... yawn.

Hmmmm... looking pretty cool so far.
Ability to save device chains with third party effects (if that's what the feature refers to) - that's one i've been looking forward to.
Multi destination midi & key mappings will be a nice feature also.
Wonder if they've solved the first 128 parameter limitation yet.
Cannae Wait man

It means you can assing one knob to many different things, turn one knob, and many things will happen. Or, assign one key to launch several clips.

right now in Live5 you can assign only 1 parameter per knob/slider - I interpret this feature to mean that you can assign multiple parameters to a single knob... very nice if so

Oh yeah, that is REEEAly nice. What would be sweet is if you could invert it as well so you could assign crossfades on individual channels, open one filter and close another, etc.pdxindy wrote:Mr. Tunes wrote:what does that mean?diverdee wrote:Multi destination midi & key mappings will be a nice feature also.

thats how i understand it. dont think you can have more than one controller control the same knob. wouldnt make much sense.
