Well, according to the Lexicon (i.e., Cakewalk) page, it only works in Sonar anyway, so those of us who don't use Sonar can't use it anyway. Shrug.

I once recorded a piano and put some effects on it. People couldn't believe it was a synth when i told them ;)

Thanks, reflekshun! Ironically, I have this reverb but don't use it much because my copy was designed to work only in the host it came with... Cough**Sonar**Cough

Comes with SONAR.

Post

No Im using the standalone version not the SONAR version, and it works in cubase. The reason I wasn't sure they're still selling it is cos its only bundled with certain hardware such as their USB mixer.

how soon?

well, I probably should not have even answered. I'm not actively participating in the testing anymore; since my band has a steady gig I leave my 88 key controller at the club. I still get the list mail though, and trust me, they're working hard to put out a quality product. but no timetable.

Thanx dJ! :D

It's definitely top notch work under the engine's hood. But, then again, I don't expect anything less than top notch from 4front. ;)

Listened to it again. It is as kitsch as piano music can get, very close to Keith Jarrett in say the Köln concert but even a bit more clueless & without Jarrett's (very limited) 'virtuosity'. This is exactly the style of music most composers hate, and precisely the kitschy piano sound that most pianists abhor. But true, this is a muzak and a sound for mass audiences, preferably attending a summer night concert in the park, with a white Steinway in the spotlights near the waterfront, and a well dressed long haired Very Romantic pianist acting the virtuoso by simply letting some floating chords suggest An Infinite Realm around some 'playfully' improvised melodies.... LOTs of reverb and please some delay as well... beautiful... the women are delighted... an unforgettable summer evening, romantic music in the park....

O, how I hate this. Compared to this shit Scott Joplin is really a Piano Saint. And I wonder what kind of composers/musicians are in this thread.... that find it possible to LIKE this  :o :-o

And I forgot to mention the title... Which says it all already. Listener, you enter a realm of fake sentiments, lack of style and taste and intelligence, false pretentions, bullshit for girls and what not. No, an Evening With Liberace could not be worse than this, if drinks would be available.

How does one die, listening to kitsch? Well, as a swan of course -
