Well, I used to do lots of reviews but I learned quickly that it just wasn't fair to some of the musicians because of 'The Great Firewall' -- there are usually one or more websites I can't access (like ATTatHOME and GEOCITIES, Lycos, etc)-- and of course if you're gonna do reviews then you should do everyone and never leave anyone out. So, whenever one of the contest entries site is blocked, I don't do a review that month.

Someday, the government here will realise how fruitless it is to try to keep information from people. Until then, I can't do reviews in a fair way.

There are winning contest entries I couldn't vote for -- and I've never been able to hear them because KVR doesn't archive the Hall of Fame anymore but just provides the links now.

And those of you who do take the time to review and do it so eloquently and fairly and charmingly are very way cool in my book -- please power on! My heart and spirit are with every one of yas!

Breaking the chain (sorry)...
Does anyone use Live HTTP headers to direct link to Soundclick files/player?
I am attempting to make this work and i am having a bit of trouble here.
Can anyone give me some tips?

I think, that at Soundclick, you have to have a gold member ($) to have the direct link thingie work.
I meant.. have a gold membership

Yeah,

I had to lure Jeff out with the promise of big $$$$$.

The guy is a monster guitarist!

Whats even more amazing is that after I laid down the bed tracks and my guitar parts, he did his stuff in 1 take. All I had to to was mix his stuff in.

Thanks for the comps on the track though. It was a fun one.

Actually,

I find this pretty insulting
But what do I care....this statement come from a person who fails to provide a direct link for contest entries, and who fails to even vote when entering on occaision. These two item together show a general overall lack of appreciation and respect for the musicians that post here. So given the source, it's easy to pass over.

Scoops -- the track is indeed so awesome that it's hard to review it at all, yeah?

In other words, I think you really have to dig deep to find anything constructive to comment about it mate -- so maybe, as Mello is want to do, he had to have *something* to critique. Other than that I think he was praising your song in the Spaniard's way, eh? We HAVE to give reviewers some license...

Matey -- it truly is an awesome piece -- so much so that it's hard to think that this wee little contest deserves it.

I finally got a chance to relax and listen to page 3.
This month is really good!

Scoops, your track is EXACTLY what you intended it to be, Chick/Satriani/Disco.
I am hesitant to shortlist it cause you were really rude to me last month with all your chicken smack.
